We’re starting to hire for the upcoming season! Positions are available on our field crew, in the farm stand, plus a new position split between spring greenhouse work and summer wash pack. We have full and part time positions and we allow flexible start dates for students. Other perks include a 10% farm stand discount and plenty of free produce seconds. Poking our heads up from family vacation to share our favorite photos from last season. It was certainly one for the books! We’re reveling in the final weeks of off season rest and getting super antsy for the joy of the coming season, when everything feels new again.

They don’t call them strawberries for nothing! Addy and Stephen got the bulk of it spread with the tractor during the nice weather last week, and we’ve been chipping away at the handwork, making sure there’s even coverage and putting row covers on some sections for the very earliest berries we’ll pick next spring. Fingers crossed for those Memorial Day weekend strawberries!

P.S. this is the final weekend for farm stand shopping, and we’ve got a great selection of roots, squash and greens for your Thanksgiving cooking! Open self serve 9-6, all forms of payment accepted. Our last day will be 11/26.

We are so grateful to our amazing customers and CSA members for supporting us from spring ‘til winter and to our dedicated employees who show up for the farm in a multitude of ways all year. Stephen and I (Sarah) feel lucky to be part of it all, and can’t think of a more gratifying, thrilling, fulfilling, heart-expanding way to spend our days

Yep, we’re still open! The store is chock full of just about any fall vegetable you could want (and the last of the peppers/tomatoes somehow), plus some stunning everlasting wreaths and bouquets from Connie Bilideau of Orwell, VT. We’ll be open every day 9-6 until the Sunday before Thanksgiving. We are set up for self checkout and can accept cards, Apple Pay, check and exact cash

We are gearing up for our last staffed weekend in our Monkton farmstand! Our store will be stocked with farm fresh produce until the week before thanksgiving, but this will be our last weekend with baked goods from @jonestheboyvt and @slowfirebakery. This has been an incredible growing season, and our cashiers are looking forward to the chance to say ‘see you next spring’ to our supportive community! For our own fresh produce, you’ll find:

🌿Herbs (cilantro, dill, parsley)
🥬Kale and Swiss chard
🫑🌶️Peppers(sweet, snacking, spicy, and dried)

🍓Strawberries (fresh and frozen)
🍅Tomatoes (slicer, paste, cherry, green, and tomatillo)
🎃Winter squash

As well as produce from other local farms

Nothing beats the sweet crunch of fall carrots…with the exception of seeing these little farmers help out with the harvest yesterday 💗🥕 We have been digging loads of carrots for the last month and we’re down to the final bed at last! We have plenty stocked at the farm stands, with bulk quantities available, $38/25lb. They store amazingly well and only get sweeter with time!

Both our Monkton farm stand and @lester_farm_market_vt are open this weekend 10-5 with all the fall things, but change is in the air! Lester Farm will be closing for the season at the end of the month. Our Monkton farm stand will remain open until the week before Thanksgiving, weather permitting, and switch to self serve only after 10/27. We appreciate all the folks who’ve stopped into shop this fall - it’s been one fore the books 🧡
